Electronic cigarettes are entering big today and there is no end on sight that will slow down this trend.
You my friend are actually in stage of wondering should you or should you not try to change your smoking habit, for less harmful habit that will be easier to quit, and while you are enjoying in it- that is far more healthier than regular cigarettes.
My answer to you is obvious -change cigarettes for electronic cigarettes-not now -yesterday!
There are few reasons for this, first  reasons is that electronic cigarette is far less harmful than regular cigarette-and it is far more easier to quit smoking electronic cigarette than “normal” one.
As any new health related product, this product needs to be approved by FDA-will it be approved?I really doubt that, reason for this doubt is cause FDA treats this device as new method of delivering same drug in our body-nicotine.
But you need to think on this one with your own head, cleared of any blurry conclusions without real facts.
Facts are my friend:
Electronic cigarettes contain 4000 less harmful toxic and carcinogen products than real cigarette -talking about health!
Electronic cigarettes doesn’t produce smoke-they produce nicotine,no nicotine or flavored vapor-in start eliminating few problems with regular smoking -bad breath-sorrow throat and since they don’t contain tar-morning cough.
Ok  I’m not going to tell you empty tail here, electronic cigarettes  also have certain cons.
Few cons: There are many cheap crappy products that contain diethylene glycol substance that can be found in antifreeze used for cars trucks and this substance is toxic-it has been found by FDA and kept in secret for about 3 months.

We still don’t know why this has kept in secrecy, but one thing you can be sure of-large cigarette companies are loosing battle for market and they wont  let this big piece of the market to electronic cigarettes without battle-means bad publicity.Once again-you have a brain and you can sum all the facts without anyone selling you crap-especially companies that are falling down and they now that are falling down!

Second con, large majority of cheap electronic cigarettes in they refill don’t contain exactly nicotine levels as it is stated on product -so you may buy no nicotine refill and you end up with refill that contains some smaller quantities of nicotine-or you may order refill with 16 mg of nicotine and end with refill that contains 14 mg of nicotine.

Third con- is that most electronic cigarettes are made from 3 pieces ,containing hidden costs and are not handsome for manual-low quality batteries, atomizer that clogs and collect bacteria, manual refilling of cotton…
All this can be avoid by initial buying of high quality product that is a bit more expensive -usually about 30-40$ per starter pack but it eliminates all this headache with quality of production-it’s made form only 2 parts and it comes with unconditional guarantee for everything included.

I’m not telling you here that electronic cigarette is healthy-it still contains-if you wish-nicotine,but as you can see for yourself ,it is 4000 times healthier than cigarette , it will always be healthier solution for smoking and easier solution to quit smoking-by reducing potency of nicotine in refill.

To me this deal is no-brainer , i don’t think that to you should be either-after-all, health can’t be easily repaired-but can be easily destroyed-by not changing ,not quitting , or for a few lousy bucks of savings.

Is ASH guilty of double standards and hypocrisy?

Ash Accuses E Cigarette Research of Being Compromised

In a recent letter attacking E Cigarette Direct, ASH claimed that Electronic Cigarette Companies could not be relied upon to be neutral because of their financial interest.

They also claimed that any research commissioned by Electronic Cigarette Companies was compromised.

That research includes an analysis by Murray Laugeson, former principal medical officer of the New Zealand Department of Health and winner of the World Health Organization Tobacco or Health medal and citation “for achievements deemed worthy of international recognition in promoting the concept of tobacco-free societies.”

Yet the very organisation that claims electronic cigarette research is compromised is accepting money from a major pharmaceutical company.

Funding

It's not easy to find out where ASH's money come from.

We know they make some money by charging for advice on how to separate children from their parents.

But their financial reports are vague on the sources of their funds.

Busted

Pfizer, though, is not.

Jim Corken, of E Cigarette National, pointed me towards this document on the Pfizer website.

ASH is the first named partner in a $47 million dollar funding programme by Pfizer.

Pharmaceutical companies

Pharmaceutical companies have a major interest in the electronic cigarette:

1. They sell billions of dollars of nicotine replacement aids per year. (Unfortunately, these don't work.) The market for these aids has been largely created by the Big Pharm funding of the anti-smoking movement, which has seem hundreds of millions of dollars channelled to public health organisations, much of it via the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

2. The big pharmecutical companies are evidently worried by the nicotine cessation industry, as shown by a report entitled:

E-Cigarettes Will Revolutionize The Face Of Tobacco Smoking And Could Pose A Threat To the Smoking Cessation Market

3. By removing the current electronic cigarette companies, big pharm can benefit by introducing their own version of the electronic cigarette in their future. Their huge donation to public health organisations means that these bodies are unlikely to protest.

Hypocrisy

It is standard for commercial companies to fund research into their products.

The FDA itself is funded by pharmecutical companies and, more recently, by the tobacco companies whose products kill more than 400,000 a year.

Testing organisations are supposed to maintain independence despite the source of funds.

ASH has attacked E Cigarette research because they can not reply directly to the points raised by our recent letter to the Peninsula:

1. That the electronic cigarette contains less nicotine than real cigarettes.

2. That the ingredients of the electronic cigarette are far less harmful than those contained in real cigarettes.

That they have made this accusation at the same time as receiving money from organisations with a direct negative interest in Electronic Cigarettes is simply breathtaking in its level of hypocrisy.
