Over-Complicating Quit Smoking Issue

She identified five distinct phases which a dying person encounters.  These stages are “denial,” “anger,” “bargaining,” “depression,” and finally, “acceptance.”  These are the exact same stages that are felt by those mourning the loss of a loved one ,and believe it or not… People who attempt to give up smoking go through these five stages.  They must successfully overcome each specific phase to deal with the next.  Some people have particular difficulty conquering a specific phase, causing them to relapse back to smoking.”

I liked this part of one article-i haven’t wrote it,but  i wish to comment on it-support groups,stages of quitting smoking,denials,etc……..sometimes when i look some issues i really get frustrated on how people over-complicating it.

Simple question:Do you wan’t to quit smoking or you don’t want to quit smoking?  Answer could be   :”Yes i want to quit smoking—or—no i don’t want to quit smoking!”

If you simply want to quit smoking you can just do it-right here,  in front of your computer you can make decision to quit smoking now and move on the next blog or site and keep on going with your life-never look back-that is the real way to really quit.

I’m sorry if this will offend some of you but i think of people who have quit smoking and counting days ,months or years …that is pathetic,cause real truth is that they are still slaves of smoking-even if they did quit-they still have clear fixation on smoking and heavy lift on their back carrying for years to come-until they start again.

Damn!Simple answer is Electronic cigarette and dropping down  nicotine levels in it while enjoying smoke at same time….

Silly question -don’t you think?

We all know answer on this one-definitely quit smoking, reasons for quit smoking are in simple facts and some simple mathematics.Main reason for each person should be -obviously-avoiding health issues caused by smoking and  constantly inhaling 4000 different compounds  found in tobacco.

Many of these compounds are carcinogens and allergens…we will leave this compounds for other post,and now we are going to deal with some simple mathematics-hold on this is interesting!Let’s take average smoker who is smoking one box of cigarettes a day-each cigarette lasts from 5-7 minutes-we will say 5 minutes just for example:

2o cigarettes x 5 minutes=100 minutes a day

1 hour 40 minutes a day ,average smoker holds cigarette in the mouth inhaling 4000 “unhealthy” compounds-not much?

Let’s go a bit further:

365 days x 20 cigarettes=7 300 cigarettes per year….hmmmm

7 300 cigarettes  x 5 minutes=36 500 minutes per year with cigarette in the mouth……not much?

36 500 minutes : 60 minutes(1 hour)=608 hours per year constantly smoking…..

608 hours : 24 hours=25 days per year constantly inhaling  4000 different compounds……25 days-non-stop!

Can you imagine impact that smoking have on our health?We could go on with mathematics by multiplying cost for cigarettes,costs made by “repairing” health issues caused by smoking,etc…I’m sure that you will get your calculator and do your own math in search for a bit better numbers,but you can’t cheat the math,well…you could try.

After this results real question is what kind of benefit we have from smoking?Non!Not one single  benefit,you may say that you light cigarette when you are stressed -to bad for you- cigarette will never cure a reason for being stressed.Ok i’m not going to preach you ,i was also smoker, for me -smoking and asthma wasn’t really pleasant combination and i was smoking for 10 long years.

Now i’m 30 i’m feeling great,and i have small confession to make-i still smoke occasionally-but electric cigarette-now i smoke them without nicotine or any other junk that kills me.I started with 16 mg of nicotine vapour and in few weeks i came to 0 mg of nicotine-(chocolate flavor)-for me this was the most “painless” quitting -actually i enjoyed quitting cigarette smoking while smoking same time-sounds bit absurd but it’s the way it is.
